We have always been enchanted by the mysteries of the ocean depths, which are common themes in fairy tales and live in our imagination. Fehn, the traditional manufacturer from Upper Franconia, is now developing a particularly cute range of sea creature toys for children's bedrooms. Octopus, starfish, mermaid, turtle and sea horse; the toys in the collection are not only inspired by the sea, but babies can also play with two of the animals in the water.  Here, Fehn is also using a particularly soft currently popular material, muslin, which is incorporated into the characters in different ways. Similar to all the Fehn products, the toys conceal a multitude of sensations for the ears, eyes and the sense of touch, just waiting to be discovered by the young explorers. The delicate pastel colours will match any interior, and appeal to little boys and girls alike.

The animal world is very often the source of inspiration for toys and cuddly animals. After all, it offers wonderful shapes, colours and, of course, characters you can’t help finding totally adorable. The new collection from Fehn features toy creatures from the sea, and refers directly to the focus of the range: water!

Bathing made easy with the 'Meereskinder' (children of the sea) from Fehn!

Bath time is fun, even for the youngest among us! Fehn has turned bath time into a fun water experience and, in addition to its classic products, has created accessories that babies can enjoy while splashing around with water and bathing. The octopus has an integrated ball to guarantee lots of playtime in the bath. The little turtle is also a real sea creature; this one has a sponge inside its body, and is perfect for washing and bathing. Fehn also offers some lovely washing mitts in fun animal designs to play with, and cosy bath towels to give babies a warm, soft sensation when they are dried.

Muslin: a soft, fine material that is back in fashion!

Muslin is a light and particularly fine, soft fabric woven from cotton, which reached the height of its popularity as early as the 17th century. At that time, it was a particularly common fabric for making fine women’s dresses and blouses. In the mid-20th century, muslin was popular as a burp or dribble cloth owing to its highly absorbent properties, and was therefore ideally suited for the purpose. The material is currently experiencing a renaissance, as it is air-permeable, yet warm, soft and easy to wash; perfect for babies to cuddle and snuggle up to.  Fehn has used muslin in a wide variety of ways in this collection: as a cuddleblanket, in a bath towel and as a tactile material in all types of grasping toys.

'Meereskinder' (children of the sea) – an extensive collection for boys and girls

The new collection 'Meereskinder' (children of the sea) places our cute ocean-dwellers at the centre of the experience. The 3D activity quilt for example, is available in delicate turquoise, light blue and pink. It is shaped like a huge octopus with starfish, seahorses and a small round mirror suspended from the arch. The soft play rug itself conceals numerous lovely effects, including crinkly paper, rattles and two squeaking sounds. The toys suspended from the arch can be removed for play, and have a rattle, animal sound, mirror, rattle ring and teething ring. This not only ensures that babies explore different kinds of entertaining activities, but can also have great fun on a journey of discovery.

The 43-piece collection itself contains a diverse range of toys. books, crawling rolls, grasping toys, pram chains, towels, washing mitts, cuddleblankets and so much more are available in the beautiful new design. It was also important to have an extensive range for both boys and girls.

Fehn is committed developing babies’ senses

Fehn has always been committed to promoting the development of babies’ senses. The new 'Meereskinder' (children of the sea) toys have taken this commitment further with a varied bathing collection, which it has meticulously refined with a clear focus. This is one more way of ensuring that newborns have a good start in life.
